How it works
How to Sell Your Junk Car in Summerlin
- 1

- 2
Get your quote
We price the car from your details and reply with a number. Asking costs nothing and there is no pressure to accept.
- 3

Final price, signature, payment
The driver checks the car against your description, confirms the final price and has you sign the title. Cash or a check is in your hand before the car is hooked up.
What we buy
Cars We Buy in Summerlin
A car stuck behind a guard gate
The Ridges is a 793-acre, guard-gated village. If a dead car is parked inside one, we coordinate with your guard house so the flatbed can get in and out.
A car that drew an HOA letter
If your neighborhood has an HOA, it may limit inoperable or unregistered cars in view. Send us the date on the letter and we will book around it.
A car in a village with two sets of rules
Parts of Summerlin sit in the City of Las Vegas and parts in unincorporated Clark County, and their junk vehicle rules differ. The rules section below shows both.
A wrecked or totaled car
Collision, flood and fire damage all qualify. If an insurance company paid out on the car, make sure the title is back in your name before you sell.
A car you inherited or found in a garage
A parent's car or one that came with a house you bought can be sold once the title is legally yours. For a deceased owner, our title FAQs list the Nevada forms.
A repair bill bigger than the car
When the quote to fix the transmission or engine is bigger than the car's value, selling for scrap and parts is the cleaner ending. A dead engine does not stop us from buying.

Summerlin Rules That Affect Your Junk Car
City of Las Vegas streets and yards
The city's code enforcement guide says a home may keep one inoperative vehicle for up to 60 days, only in a side or rear yard and screened from view. Wrecked, dismantled or junk vehicles must go unless they are in a garage and out of sight. Leaving a car on a street for more than 72 consecutive hours is unlawful. The Code Enforcement hotline is 702-229-6615.
Clark County streets and yards
Clark County says an inoperative vehicle cannot be stored outside at a residence and must be removed from the property. Cars must sit on a paved surface, and a car on a public street needs current plates and registration and may stay up to 72 hours. Report nuisances at (702) 455-4191 or through FixIt Clark County.
HOA and gate rules
Summerlin neighborhoods may add rules on top of the city's or county's. Nevada law (NRS 116.350) limits when an HOA can direct a car towed from its streets and common areas. Check your governing documents, keep any letter and book a pickup before the date on it. This is general information, not legal advice.

How Much Cash Can You Get for a Junk Car in Summerlin?
Your offer starts with the car's weight and condition, then adds any parts that can be resold. Towing is free across the valley, including behind Summerlin's gates, and nothing is taken out of your offer for it.
Whole cars have been bringing about $165 to $180 a ton at Las Vegas scrap yards this year, so a 3,500-pound crossover, roughly 1.75 tons, carries around $290 to $315 in steel before parts. Most valley offers land between about $220 for a small car and $850 for a pickup. Every figure is an estimate, not a guaranteed offer.

Paperwork for Summerlin Sellers
Have the Nevada title in the seller's name and a photo ID that matches it. If the car was financed, the lender's lien release has to come with it. Nevada DMV form VP-104 is a free bill of sale that gives both sides a written record.
After the sale, keep your plates, cancel the registration online, then call your insurer. The DMV asks sellers to file the resale notification within five days.

FAQs
Summerlin Junk Car Questions
Do you pick up inside The Ridges and other guard-gated communities?
Yes. Tell the guard house to expect a flatbed, or give us the gate code when you book. Guard gates can have their own rules for vendors, so ask your HOA what they need, such as a name or a plate number for the truck.
Does the City of Las Vegas or Clark County cover my Summerlin street?
It depends on the street. By Census boundaries, Downtown Summerlin and The Ridges are in unincorporated Clark County, and Sun City Summerlin is in the City of Las Vegas. Your HOA's management company can tell you which one applies to your address.
My Summerlin HOA says the car has to go. How long do I have?
Look for the date on the letter, because that is the deadline that counts. Send it to us with your quote request and we will work backward from it. Nevada law (NRS 116.350) limits when an HOA can direct a car towed, so keep a copy.
Can I leave a junk car in my Summerlin garage?
Usually yes, if it stays inside with the door closed. The City of Las Vegas allows wrecked or junk vehicles only in a garage and out of public view, while Clark County's rule targets cars stored outside. Your HOA may add its own limits.
Which ZIP codes in Summerlin do you serve?
We serve 89134, 89135, 89138 and 89144, plus the parts of 89128 and 89145 that fall inside Summerlin. If you are unsure which side of a ZIP line you are on, send your street address.
Can you pick up from Sun City Summerlin?
Yes. Sun City Summerlin is inside the City of Las Vegas. Ask the community office about visitor or vendor rules, and make sure the person named on the title can meet the driver to sign it.
